Would your DeCA pass a roadside inspection? Check it now

Paste the document's public URL or upload its PDF and we run the same technical checks the regulation demands, with the result explained check by check. Free, no account needed.

Your document is analysed on the fly and never stored.

Validate your document

The starting point is the same an inspector would have: your document exactly as it travels in the truck.

What is verified, check by check

The resolution of 5 June 2026 sets specific technical requirements for a DeCA to be valid. Here they are, translated from the official gazette into plain English:

Native digital PDF, not a scan

The file must be digitally generated. A scanned sheet of paper or a photo converted to PDF does not qualify — and it is one of the first things that gives an improvised document away.

Maximum size: 5 MB

The PDF cannot exceed 5 megabytes. Sounds trivial, until someone embeds uncompressed photos and the inspection download crawls or gets rejected.

Creation and modification metadata

The PDF must carry, in its metadata, the date and time of creation and of every modification. It is the minimum traceability the regulation demands of the file itself.

Embedded QR pointing to the document URL

The QR code must live inside the PDF and decode to exactly the document’s unique URL. Unreadable, blurry, or pointing somewhere else: failed check.

Unique HTTPS URL with direct download

Each document needs its own URL served over TLS 1.2 or higher, and opening it must download the PDF directly: no login, no credentials, no intermediate buttons.

URL valid for the whole service

The link cannot expire before the transport ends; it may only be deactivated 7 calendar days after the service is complete. An expired link at the roadside equals carrying no document.

Complete mandatory data (Art. 6)

Contractual shipper with tax ID and address, effective carrier with tax ID, origin and destination, nature and weight of the goods, transport date, and plate (tractor plus trailer where applicable).

Generated before the service starts

The document must exist before the vehicle moves. Issuing it once the inspection has already stopped the truck is, by definition, too late.

Issue documents that already pass these checks

The validator is our own compliance engine: every DeCA issued on the platform is validated against these checks before activation.

Validation before activation

A document with incomplete data or an off-spec PDF never reaches the road: the engine catches it at creation time, not the Guardia Civil when you get pulled over.

Verified by automated tests

The resolution's full technical checklist is covered by automated tests that run on every change to the platform — our internal inspection simulator.

Frequently asked questions about the validator

What exactly does the validator check?
The technical requirements the Spanish resolution of 5 June 2026 (BOE-A-2026-12784) imposes on every DeCA that can be verified on the file itself: PDF format and size, metadata, QR code, URL behaviour, and the mandatory data of Art. 6 of Order FOM/2861/2012. Every check comes with its result and its explanation. What cannot be seen from the outside (e.g. that the document existed before the service started) remains the issuer's responsibility.
Do you store the documents I upload?
No. The document is analysed in memory to produce the result and is not kept or used for any other purpose. It would be absurd to ask for blind trust in a tool built precisely for verification.
Why do I get a warning on the QR URL check?
The validator tries to download the URL encoded in the QR, just like an inspector would. If the document lives in a test environment, behind a firewall, or its public window has already expired (7 days after the end of service), the probe cannot confirm it and marks it as a warning instead of a failure.
What if my document fails the checks?
The result tells you which check fails and why, in plain language. From there you can fix it with your current provider — or issue with us: every DeCA on the platform is validated against these same checks before activation, so the outcome is guaranteed by design. With 10 free documents you can see for yourself without spending a euro.
And the fines? What is at stake if my document is not compliant?
From 5 October 2026 the Spanish transport control document must be electronic and meet these requirements; penalties for non-compliance start at €401. The cost of checking your document in time: zero.
